Goodbye, discouragement! Hello, contentment! My deepest prayer for this new year is to trust God more and be more content. To trust God with where I am, on the way to where I’m going. My God is so good, and my future is so bright because I know the One who is the light. The One who lights my way and directs my path. God has given me all that I need and with all of it, I must be content. Discouragement rears it’s ugly head when I think about all that I don’t have. Help me remember, Lord, that you withhold no good thing from those who walk uprightly (Ps. 84:11 KJV). So, my focus this year must be on pleasing God and not myself. Goodbye, discouragement; I don’t want you anymore. Hello, contentment; show me what you have in store.
