Dear 5th grade me:

You are a masterpiece. Ephesians 2:10 NLT says “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” You love art. You love everything about it. You are starting to discover your favorite artists and your favorite masterpieces.

You need to know that you are one of God’s favorite masterpieces. You see, God is an artist, and He takes His art very seriously like all great artists do. The definition of a masterpiece is “a work done with extraordinary skill” and “a supreme intellectual or artistic achievement.” That describes you completely.

Just remember: God,your creator, tells you who you are, not Satan. So the next time he whispers in your ear and tells you that you are a mess, just remind him of what you learned today and tell him the truth: that you are a masterpiece created by God to do good works.
