God, Our Source and Provider

Hello, everyone! Today , I wanted to share about really trusting God to provide every need we have. I will admit to having my moments when I don’t FEEL like I have everything I need, but I know that’s not true. The Word says God gives me everything I need (Psalm 23:1; Philippians 4:19) and the Word is true. I may not have everything I want to have in any given moment but I’m learning that what I think I need may be different than what God does. This week I feel like I turned a page with God though: I was having a moment of thinking abt how I want my financial situation to look and how I felt like I need to do this thing or this thing like I have heard and saw others doing. Then started worrying about how long it could take me to get there and feeling bad because I don’t have what others have. I felt like God reminded me in that moment of all of the things I have and how he provides everytime I have a need like he said he would. He reminded me that he is my source and that I do not need to depend on money to take care of me but that I need to depend on him. The Word  says in Psalm 145:15-16 NIRV ” Every living thing looks to you for food. You give it to them exactly when they need it. You open your hands and satisfy the needs of every living creature.”  I love this verse because it always reminds me that I can trust God to see what I need and to decide when I need it. My goal moving forward is to recognize every need God has supplied, praise him for it, and trust that he will meet every need that comes in the future as well.

Songs that remind me of this truth : “I am ” by Jason Nelson; ” Not for a moment” by Meredith Andrews and Vertical Church Band; and “Yes He Will” by Fred Hammond.
